GeoIdentity worked with a utility client to solve their challenges associated with the lack of reliable field validations, checklists, and As-Built processes for their capital projects. The client’s existing processes were manual and relied upon spreadsheets to reconcile work completed and releasing of payments to contractors.
GeoIdentity partnered with the client to design and deploy ArcGIS-based GIS and CMMS mobile tools and workflows that automate quality control checklists, progress tracking, and As-Built acceptance of packages through the incorporation of GIS, financial, customer, and permitting and licensing system data into an Enterprise Integration Framework. The tools enabled automated tracking of permits, planning and development activities from initial request to departmental plan reviews, fee collection, inspections, regulatory meetings, hearings, and renewals; transfer of new assets from permitted to in-service in both GIS and financial asset register; and, tracking of daily customer and developer revenues. GeoIdentity also led the adoption of the GIS tools across 100% of relevant field operations teams resulting in productivity improvements of >30% over a 2 year period.
